Xbox 360 - the successor to Xbox is the second gaming console developed and produced by Microsoft. Xbox 360 was unveiled in May 2005 in MTV.
The console is a part of seventh generation of video game consoles and was launched as a competition to Sony’s PlayStation 3 and Nintendo’s Wii. By March 2013 77.2 million Xbox consoles were sold worldwide.
One of the major feature of Xbox 360 is integrated Xbox Live service that allows the players to compete online, download Arcade Games, game trailers, movies and music etc. In June 2010 Microsoft announced a redesigned Xbox 360 called Xbox 360 S. The main redefined features of the new Xbox 360 was that the new version was slimmer that the older one. Also there was an integrated 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, TOSLINK S/PDIF optical audio output, five USB 2.0 ports (there were only three in the older versions) and a special AUX port. In 2013 Microsoft released another model of Xbox 360 – Xbox 360 E and also announced the successor of Xbox 360 – Xbox One.
