In previous versions of Android whenever we clicked on a link a list of applications would be displayed and we had to choose one from them. Specifying Apps for Links in Android 6.0 :
In Android Marshmallow we can assign URLs from a particular domain with a certain app e.g. all URLs from domain twitter.com will open in Twitter app if you set it as the default for all links from domain twitter.com.
To associate specific links with specific apps –
Go to Settings menu.
Go to Apps.
Tap the overflow menu on the top right corner.
Tap on App Links.
Tap on the app you want to associate links with.
Set the options as per your choice.
