In this tutorial we'll learn how to add Non-ribbon commands to QAT. There are a lot of commands that are not present on the ribbon but can be used quite frequently while dealing with large spreadsheets. In this case we can add these commands to the quick access toolbar.
How to add Non-ribbon commands to the Quick access toolbar?
Here are the steps involved in adding non-ribbon commands to the quick access toolbar.
Click on the Quick Access Toolbar Customization button.
From the drop down list that appears, choose the “More Commands…” option.
Locate the “Choose Commands From” dropdown in the top left portion of the dialog box that appears. The list below this dropdown lists the commands according to the option selected in this dropdown. Initially the “Popular commands” option is selected.
Choose the option “Commands not in the Ribbon” from the dropdown list.
The list below the dropdown now lists all the commands that are not listed in the Ribbon. Locate the command that you want to add in the Quick access toolbar. We have chosen the calculator command as an example.
Select the desired command and then click the “Add >>” button in the right of the list.
You can see that the calculator command is added in the right side list. Click “OK”.
Your selected command will now be available in the Quick access toolbar.
