Excel has always tried make its users' life easier as much as possible. It has loads of such features that will allow users to perform complex tasks in much easier manner. Mini toolbar is one such feature. It is the small toolbar that appears when we right click on any cell in the worksheet. Though this mini toolbar is of great help to the users as it conatains some very frequently used commands and users can directly use these commands just by right clicking on the cell. But sometimes some users do not prefer seeing this toolbar everytime. Scenarios may arise where users are working on some complex spreadsheet and they not want to use the commands on the mini toolbar when they right click on the cells. Show/Hide Mini Toolbar
Below are the steps to show or hide mini toolbar in Excel.
Click on the “File” command button in the top left corner of the worksheet.
The backstage view of Excel will be displayed. Locate the “Options” command at the bottom of the left side pane.
Click on the “Options” command.
The Excel Options dialog box is displayed. Locate the option “Show Mini Toolbar on Selection” in the right side pane of the dialog box.
Check this checkbox to show the mini tool bar and uncheck the checkbox to hide the mini toolbar.
Hiding and showing features like Mini toolbar is a matter of preference and the type of data and spreadsheet we are working on. But it is always useful that we know how to hide and then show such features.
